1. To sustain
and promote moral and historical traditions
as well as the language of the birthland of
Crete through the creation and support of
social events, celebrations
of historic anniversaries,
lectures, play performances,
exhibitions, dancing
performances as well as other educational
activities.
2. To welcome
and assist the members as well as the Cretans
that came recently to Canada to adopt their
new country by helping them to learn
the English language and to assist
them to find suitable employment.
3. To prepare
and assist the members to acquire
Canadian Citizenship, as well as
to inform them about the Laws governing the
Canadian State and about the norms and values
of Canadian Society.
4. To offer
moral as well as financial help to charitable
and cultural organizations in Canada and in
Crete through donations to charitable institutions
and to offer scholarships
to needy male and female students.
5. To promote
the cooperation and mutual help between the
members of the Association as well as the
cooperation of the Association with other
Associations that have similar goals to those
outlined above.
